We can provide flexible short term, planned or emergency respite to meet the needs of carer and care recipient. We can also link carers to other services for ongoing support.
Is a one stop shop for information about community and health services within our region. We can provide assistance with referrals to services for those people who have difficulty accessing services themselves.
Is a contact point for carers who have emergency respite needs outside Centre office hours. This service operates overnight Monday to Friday, weekends and public holidays. The aim is to provide an immediate respite response for carers in time of crisis.
Provides support to carers of people with mental illness, intellectual disabilities or Autism Spectrum Disorders by increasing their access to a flexible range of respite services.
Provides support to young carers who are “at risk” of prematurely leaving their education due to their caring responsibilities. We may provide respite during school term, organise tutoring and linking carers to support services.
Provides short term planned or emergency respite to carers of a person with severe disabilities under the age of 30 years.
Aims to increase access to residential respite for persons who have high support needs and/or challenging behaviours. This service can provide one on one support to these persons whilst in residential respite.
Aims to improve the quality of life of people living with dementia and their carers. The program is designed to provide access to courses that will enhance the knowledge skills of the carer which will assist them in their caring role.
Enables us to book carers, self carers and care recipients into residential respite beds in Commonwealth funded Aged Care Facilities. We work closely with Aged Care Assessment Teams and Facilities to ensure appropriate placements.
