Service Coordinator

Mental Health Respite Program

An excellent opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, caring person who has a passion for working with carers to provide flexible, innovative responses to their support needs and the people for whom they care.

Working within Respite & Carelink Centre team will give you the opportunity to improve the quality of life of carers by coordinating immediate and planned respite and other support services to assist them in their caring role.

We are looking for a person who has:

  • Qualifications and/ or experience in mental health
  • A good  understanding of community and health service systems
  • An ability to assess, plan and  coordinate care
  • An ability to develop and build capacity in community mental health services
  • An understanding of the needs of carers and people with a mental illness or psychiatric disability

The position is:

  • Based in Alstonville but has a regional focus
  • 30 hours per week until 30th June 2012, when it will be reviewed
  • Under the conditions of the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award.

Positions are advertised through local media, employment websites and will also be posted on the Centre website.

We will accept resumes outside of recruitment periods.  Resumes will kept on file for a maximum of 6 months, and in the event that a position becomes available you will be notified of this and offered a chance to complete the necessary application.
